Formaldehyde which have been found in some diapers, is known as human carcinogen because it causes cancer of the throat, nose, and blood. Even exposure to low levels of Formaldehyde can irritate and burn the eyes, nose, throat, and skin.

Children with asthma may be more sensitive to exposure to formaldehyde and studies show that exposure to formaldehyde increases the development of childhood asthma. Skin allergies and skin sensitization following dermal exposure to formaldehyde is also well documented.
